Written by a team of dedicated tabletop gamers, Tabletop Gaming is a magazine dedicated to this increasingly popular hobby. From family board games like King of Tokyo to in-depth wargames like Kings of War or futuristic skirmish titles such as Infinity, we’re aiming to bring enthusiasts unrivalled coverage, including exclusive interviews, in-depth guides and more!
Like your Christmas stocking, this issue of Tabletop Gaming is full of goodies. If you’re unsure of the quality of your upcoming stocking, can I humbly suggest you leave this magazine conspicuously open on page 10 for your primary gifting partner to cop a look at. The ancient gods of Egypt are fighting for relevance in our cover story, an interview with legendary game designer Eric Lang. We discuss Ankh: Gods of Egypt – the third part in what is considered a trilogy along with Blood Rage and Rising Sun. We provide a little peek inside the pyramids to see how the game meshes with the mythology.
Aside from gods, we have kings. We talk about making the epic scale of Kings of War work on a personal level with writer Marc Langworthy for the new Kings of War RPG. And in a grotto of nostalgia we have an interview with the creators of the Dark Crystal inspired Moonstone as well as a deep dive into 90s retrofuture sci-fi Mutant Chronicles. We also take a look at the new publishing imprint from Asmodee – Aconyte – and reveal the first of their new novelisations of some of our favourite tabletop games.
